Lets not pick at straws over the sound
This SBD is outstanding. The show rocks big time. The sound is as perfect as you could ever realistically expect. I'm sure it sounds better here than it did in the audience. The other shows on here don't compare from a sound quality standpoint.

A solid WOO Warriors performance!
The rhythm section for this WOO Warriors line-up throws down a classic lesson on what a funk groove should sound like. Drummer Gary Sullivan and bassist Donna "Lady Bass" McPherson are incredibly tight and in the pocket. Guitarist "The Flash" is scorching with crisp leads and solid rhythm work. It should go without saying that Bernie Worrell is the master of funk keyboards and the organic sounds of his Clavinet D6 and minimoog are refreshing in the era of plastic keyboard patches. Bernie doesn't dissapoint. The keyboards of Greg "Daffy Duck" Fitz augment Bernie's work well and his vocal contributions on songs like Cosmic Slop are invaluable. Also in the lineup on this performance are vocalist Jen "Sonic Voce" Durkin and guitarist John Hickey who joins the band for "Standing On the Verge of Getting It On".
Sound Quality
Though this is a soundboard recording, the mix is not all that great. The kick drum is hardly represented well and the bass and snare are mostly in the left channel. The high hat is not very present either. Unfortunately, in the types of small clubs that Bernie usually plays, the soundboard is mostly reinforcement so you can't get good balances without doing a custom mix or matrix with audience and/or additional stage mics. Having said that, the recording is good enough that you can still hear what's going on enough to enjoy the performance and that's what really matters!
SET LIST CORRECTION:
Track 13 is list incorrectly in the set list that is posted with the show. The correct title for this song is "Trash A-Go-Go" a rarely performed song from Funkadelic's 1973 album "Cosmic Slop". Bernie and the WOO Warriors are very good about keeping it interesting for the fans by playing rare gems like this!
